Wedding Vow Idea

"I love you. You are my best friend. Today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard, when our love is simple, and when it is an effort. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life."

Eco-Friendly Inspired Wedding

Eco-Friendly Inspired Wedding
"How to incorporate a theme into your
Limited Wedding Budget"

By: Ester A Creations

We were recently inspired by "My Fair Wedding with David Tutera" and the intricate details in his creations. It's marvelous how he can take an idea, a concept, and transform it into a life-size fairytale. When you walk into one of his weddings, you feel like you have been transported into a different world of fantasy, joy, and wonder. It undoubtedly leaves you wanting more.
How can you translate that into your budget-limited wedding? How do you take a concept, like an "Eco-Friendly" Wedding, and fit it all of those elements into your budget? And how do you make it look good?
Think of it like making a soup. You can't put too much of one ingredient or that spice will overpower the soup. So you temper the soup with a dash of salt and so forth. It's the basic idea with planning your own wedding. You can incorporate a theme into your Wedding by implementing small details and hints of color into each element, here and there. Not too much...not too little. How do you know where to start or how much is too much? The key is to be creative and put just a little touch into each element of your wedding so it all comes together.
For example, you can start with your Invitations. You can choose an invite with a leaf design and a touch of green. The invitations are the first things your guests will receive and they get a sense of your wedding from your invitations.
A budget-friendly solution is to make your own invitations. It doesn't have to be stressful. You can find DIY Invitations Kits that come with a template, matching envelopes, and response cards; often under $50-$100 for a set of 50! They are so easy to put together and provide a simpler solution to expensive invitations. You can add another personal touch to your invitations by adding a color ribbon or a wax seal with your new last name initial.

You can add a "wood" inspired touch to your centerpieces that will convey your "green" themed wedding without having to place trees in the center of every table. To do this, place a charger plate with a wood-grain type design in the center of the table and place 3 candles of different heights onto the plate. Or you can choose to use a simple vase filled with lush flowers in the color hues of your wedding. You can then personalize the vase with cling-on labels and place small candles around the base of the vase.

Not only do floral favors make great mementos for your guests, but they can also ease the load on your budget, doubling as centerpieces for the tables at your reception. Consider using favor bags filled with flower seeds as an affordable 'green' favor for your wedding. You can find several personalized labels to choose from for favor boxes, bags, etc. from our website. If your busy schedule doesn't allow you enough time to DIY (do it yourself), you can choose from an affordable array of personalized party favors to give as a keepsake to your guests. If you are looking for practical and usable favors, you may like kitchen style favors such as a "Heart-Shaped Bamboo Cheese Board" or "Bamboo Salad Sets".

Other ways to bring a "green" theme or "eco-friendly" theme into your wedding are to add a green sash to your chairs with a simple cream colored table cloth or you can use a softer hue of green table linen without adding any embelishments to your chairs. The key is to keep it simple and use either but not both. You don't want to have green everywhere, spewing all over your tables. - You can add the same leaf pattern to your place cards. For example: You can use "Please Be Seeded - Plantable Seed Place Cards" that incorporate your theme and they are completely unique.

It's about taking an idea and putting little pieces of it into the small details of your wedding. Make it personal, about you, and not about duplicating someone else's wedding. With these tips, you will effortlessly incorporate any theme into your special wedding day without breaking the bank.

Baby Shower - Red and Pink

We were recently contacted to coordinate a surprise Baby Shower. We found inspiration in the mother-to-be's design for the baby's room. She loves butterflies and ladybugs. So we put together a Ladybug inspired Baby Shower with a pink and red color scheme.

How did we do it?
It all starts with "You're Invited!" These very affordable adorable DIY (do it yourself) invitations featured a photograph of the parents-to-be with the event details printed on the vellum. The "Baby Vellum Photo Announcement Kit" is enclosed with an invitation creation template that offers a very easy and affordable solution for invitations. You can find these very affordable invitations in pink or blue, in our Baby Shower Category here:  http://bit.ly/gYd9H1

Personalized Baby Square Glass Vase with Photo FrameWe selected an array of beautiful flowers in shades of red and pink to accentuate the satin table cloths. Red and pink roses, tulips in pink and red, red spray roses, red carnations, and burgundy mini carnations were delicately grouped together and placed into our vases. Our "Personalized Baby Square Glass Vases" come with an engravable frame. To add a personal touch to each table, we placed a wallet size picture of the baby's ultrasound inside the frame, and personalized with: "Maria's Baby Shower" and the Date. A pair of tealight candles illuminated the centerpieces with a wonderful glow, creating an intimate setting on each table. Not only do they make great centerpieces but these Personalized Baby Square Glass Vases are reusable too. TIP: You can ask the restaurant or venue if they have different colored lights in the space that you can change to match a color of your party (as seen in the upper left hand corner of the collage above), to add a pop of color and create an intimate setting for your party. It's free!  http://bit.ly/eVnzQv

"Love Bug" Ladybug Magnets
Sometimes it doesn't fit within your budget to rent table cloths and matching napkins. Some restaurants/venues offer the option to upgrade from their standard table cloths to a different (nicer) color for a small fee. For Favors, we selected "It's about time! - Baby Is Brewing" Teapot Timer favors. We added personalized tags that read: "Maria's Baby Shower - date". Another really great favor that matches this theme, is the Ladybug Magnets (set of 2).
Purchase these favors and other LADYBUG Themed Favors Here:
www.esteracreations.theaspenshops.com

There were game booklets tucked into the cloth napkins on every place setting. These were created to offer an activity for the guests to complete while waiting for the appetizers. We will post the template so you too can create a personalized game booklet for your party.
For this party, we rented silver candle sticks to add height to the tables and complete the design. A local party planner may have similar candle holders you can rent. Another option is to check out local dollar stores, arts and crafts stores, or even places like K-Mart for any candle holders that you can spray paint to compliment your color scheme. Colors like black, white, silver, gold, bronze can accent any color scheme. Play with height. If you have short centerpieces you may want to balance the table out with something taller on each side of the centerpiece. It creates a cohesive look that will blow your guests away and create a very memorable party!

For Diaper Cake and Diaper Ladybug, please contact us for pricing, details, and available designs. I can make several animals out of diapers, such as: elephant, giraffe, monkey, train, crib, turtle, ladybug, etc. to use as a party decoration, gifts for mother-to-be, as a gift to give at hospital, etc. These are custom items - made to order. Email me: esteracreations@hotmail.com to order your own custom Diaper Cake and Diaper Animal.

Red and pink helium balloons were placed in each corner of the room, accenting the gifts and cake table. It adds a festive element to the room without breaking the bank. You can rent a helium tank or purchase a disposable one from a crafts or party supply store (Disposable helium tank runs about $40 and fills approximately 50 balloons).

Top 10 Valentine's Day Wedding Style Ideas

Planning a Valentine's Day Themed Wedding?
Here's how to do it without the cheese.

First, some history on the lover's holiday: Though sending cards and love notes only dates back to the 1840s, Valentine's Day has been around since 496 A.D. Flash forward hundreds of years, and you'll find that this year Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday, making the most romantic day of the year the perfect time to say I do. Not sure how to pull off a Valentine's Day wedding with style? We've got 10 tips to help you plan.

Show Your Love

To get started, think about Valentine's Day and what it means to you. Look for inspiration from your own love story -- if you met on the ski slopes of Vail, incorporate cool blues and other wintry hues. Or take your decor cues from an ultraromantic destination you've been to, like Paris or Venice.

Find Your True Colors

Valentine's Day is synonymous with pink and red. Depending on your style, you can go with this traditional palette or do something unexpected. For example, choose a classic black and white palette and subtly add hints of red or pink. Do so by carrying a deep red bouquet or wrapping pale pink satin ribbon around the tiers of an all-white cake. Another way to make these romantic hues stylish is to go for contrast. Think deep crimson paired with ballet slipper pink.

Seal It with a Kiss

For a semiformal affair, get guests in the mood by sending save-the-dates decorated to look like vintage Valentines. Instead of a guest book, you might leave out Valentines for your guests to send to you with their well wishes and words of advice (make sure there are extras in case they want to give some to each other too!). For a formal wedding, flocked paper, whether for your invitations or escort cards, makes a luxurious statement with its rich, soft texture.

Create Room for Romance

Speaking of texture, use it to your advantage to create a romantic vibe. Lots of candlelight will shine even brighter if you choose table linens that have a silky sheen. For lounge or cocktail areas, a few faux fur pillows or throws will create a comfy, cozy mood (as well as a perfect spot for guests to snuggle). And if a fireplace or fire pit is an option, by all means, light it. Any frosty February chill will be forgotten thanks to its comfort and warmth.

Add Some Mood Lighting
Think about lighting to set the mood. Splashes of soft pink light will warm up a space and make everyone look great in photos. While you may not want hearts everywhere, a heart-patterned gobo spotlight would look quite modern dressing up your dance floor. And, of course, nothing says romance like a candlelit dinner. Go for ornate, flower-draped candelabras or create a more contemporary vibe with frosted glass votives.

Say It with Flowers

Roses on Valentine's Day are a given. But other blooms can be just as romantic and stylish. Amaryllis is one showy winter flower that's dramatic and gorgeous. For a rich contrast, mix deep red calla lilies and cockscomb. Another option, no matter what your budget: Experiment with adding nonfloral elements, like feathers or crystals, to your centerpieces for a rich and luxurious look.

Toast Your Love
A Valentine's Day wedding calls for its own special signature cocktail. A pink sugar-rimmed cosmopolitan or a flute of champagne with gold flakes will play up the romance factor. A chocolate martini is another delicious option. You might also consider having small bowls of classic Valentine candies, like Conversation Hearts and red cinnamon hearts, at the bar for a sweet but subtle touch.

Have Your Cake and More

Valentine's Day is a day to indulge. Last year, $14.9 billion worth of chocolate was sold in America. Consider serving decadent desserts like individual-size flourless chocolate cakes drizzled with raspberry syrup or dark chocolate-dipped dried fruits. For the actual cake, a modern heart pattern embossed into white fondant is a great option, or choose a red filling (like red velvet cake or fresh strawberries) so that each slice will have a hint of color.

Play Sweet Music

It's more than likely your first dance will be to a love song. But if you want to keep the mood romantic all night long, ask your guests to fill in their first dance song (or simply the name of their song”) on their RSVP cards. Mixing some of these tunes into your playlist is a lovely way to honor your guests and help them relive loving memories.

Give 'Em Some Sugar

Don't forget to let your guests know how much you love them. Leave them handwritten messages -- love notes, if you will -- in glass bottles at each place setting for a fun favor. Or send guests home with something sweet, like chocolate truffles or chocolate-covered espresso beans, packaged in a creative way. Add a personalized card with a cute saying like, We're in love…with you! Thank you for coming.”

Valentine's Day Themed Weddings

February is the time of year set forth for love, so why not have a Valentine Wedding. Colors of red and pink will set the mood of a valentine romance. The groom and groomsmen can be in black with beautiful red boutonnieres. The bridesmaids could hold a single rose, while the bride can carry a rose cascade.

While roses are associated with Valentines Day, they are expensive at this time of year. You may consider pink flowers for the bridesmaids decorated with little red hearts. Your florist will have suggestions for creative alternatives. Be sure to plan ahead as all florists will be very busy!

When choosing your venue, look for romantic settings. What does romance mean to you; castles and mansions, or cottages and hideaways? A glowing fire and romantic nooks will keep you and your guests warm, while plenty of windows will allow you to view the scenery outdoors. How romantic it would be to have a venue that allows you and your guests to view the setting sun.

Reds and pinks, or burgundy and mauves, will bring romance to your reception and add a touch of elegance. Hershey Kisses & Hugs and little sweethearts can be available for the children’s delight. Your table centerpieces could have small valentine candy boxes, one large box of chocolates for the bigger tables, Glass Candy Jars with Personalized Labels, or you can use "Personalized Shot Glass/Votive Holders" to fill with small pieces of candy or votive candles to match.
It’s quite easy to accommodate a Valentine’s Day themed wedding with favors. You can give your guests Hershey kisses in a sachet, personalized sweetheart candies that say "Thank you (last name) family", Jordan almonds in the shape of a heart, sugar cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, or a CD of memorable love songs that played during the night.

Give your guests tiny heart-shaped boxes of candy with a note attached saying "Thank you for being our Valentines. Love, Jessica and George."

We also carry other really great Favors with "Love" or "Heart" themes; such as: "A Slice Of Love" Pizza Cutters in Pizza Box, "Love Is Brewing" Teapot Timer, "Spread The Love" Personalized Strawberry Jam, Heart-Shaped Tea Infuser, "Love Bug" Ladybug Magnets", and much much more! http://www.esteracreations.net/index.php?cPath=32

Valentines Day is a wonderful time for a wedding! Planning ahead is crutial because this is a busy time of year for many venues and florists (some flowers may not be in season and many florists' prices for certain flowers increase during Valentine's Day season). Your wedding will be full of romance and love, and may rekindle some romance for your guests.

Ceremony Music Selections

The music you choose for your ceremony also reflects your taste and style, allowing you to express yourselves and your feelings for one another.  Certain locations, such as a church, may have rules about the songs they will allow you to play, but most sites will let you use whatever you select.
